Maria V. Torres

August 10, 1934 - December 12, 2020

Maria V. Torres, 86, of Trenton, passed away on December 12, 2020 at Preferred Care at Hamilton with her loving family by her side. Born in Añasco, Puerto Rico to Felicito Agrón Mendoza and Andrea Reyes Rodriguez, Maria moved to Trenton in the mid-fifties where she started her family. Maria was known to enjoy spending her time at the casino and if she wasn't playing the slot machines, she was at home either cooking, doing her word searches, or watching her game shows including Family Feud. She is predeceased by her loving husband Mario Torres, her parents, and nine of her fourteen siblings. Maria is survived by her five siblings José "Pepe" Agrón, Myriam Santiago, Luz Celenia Rivera, Cielito Malave; and Edwin "Manny" Agrón and wife Mary Lou Agrón. Her children Olga Figueroa; Alfred Torres and wife Zulma Torres; and Elvis Torres. Her grandchildren Waleska M. Figueroa and husband Robert Rivera; David M. Figueroa, Michelle Figueroa, Melissa Torres, Amanda Torres, and Amanda Marie Torres. Her great-grandchildren Deanna, Joshua, Emily, Julie, Michael, Natalie, Bella, Marcelo. Family and friends are invited to the viewing to pay their respects on Wednesday December 16, 2020 8:30 a.m - 9:30 a.m at 1863 Hamilton Ave. Afterwards a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral in Trenton, NJ before being laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery.
